building castles in the air
1:43 PM that pretty much summarizes what I've been doing the past 2 weeks when I haven't updated, manda dear. haha perhaps I've been growing in tiny ways, because these days I do things and watch the world, frequently thinking and translating what I see and do into matters that relate to my future. I go for lessons these days with a different perspective to what I learn, rather than just sitting thru the classes to get my attendance. more recently, I've been dreaming of the stunning scenery I might see if I go to Canada, or to Sweden for my exchange next semester, and fantasizing about the excitement I might feel trying out skiing or ice-skating, or just experiencing first snowfall. nah, I haven't applied yet because applications haven't opened. but that gives me time to sort out where I want to and can go without putting too much financial stress on my parents. just thinking about all this gives me thrills. lol and then I've also been busy planning my birthday party. haha which has been fun just considering how much free reign I would have with the arrangements. deciding on my cake, the theme of the party, who to invite, the food and all of that. I really should have considered holding a party together with chris, but then this thought came a tad too late, since I have already booked my venue. please keep your 25th of February free this year my dear friends! ;) you're all gonna be invited. tennis is also a constant agenda on my mind now, I think I've never been this crazy about a sport. not badminton, swimming or even windsurfing as much as it was the most thrilling and satisfying sport I've tried. I can probably go on playing tennis 6 times a week if I had the time and the people to play with. it helps that I've got friends who are good in the game and can impart some skills everytime I play. [chris, interested to play on weekends when I come back home? we could go to like YCK or something :P ] I pretty much love my life these days. I do a bit of studying, go for my classes and have nice groupmates. I've made new friends from taking the guts not to go for classes with the same people all the time and it feels great to be extending my network of friends. I've been lucky to meet friendly, dynamic people anyways. I'm planning where to do my Professional Attachment during the summer holidays, where and who with to go for exchange, my birthday plans, playing tennis each week and hanging out with close friends everyday after school. my only grouse would be, that my laptop isn't fixed properly yet! so I can't use Microsoft Office programs and have to find troublesome alternatives to do my work. heh besides that, I'm having fun dressing up to school everyday. haha and of course to Stacey's 21st birthday later on tonight! hopefully I'll take some photos, and post them up. haven't had new photos on my blog for such a long time now. =) till then, I'd better go do some reading for next week! take care friends! 0 comments |
