i hope you still recognise me when you see me
9:56 PM this must be what the holidays is about. waking up to the knocks on the door, busying from one training to another, changing out of sweat-soaked shirts and relieving those tired feet of shoes before rushing to cheer on the hall players for ongoing games. then dinner, a long-awaited bath and finally returning to the room to enjoy the coolness of the night and to FINALLY rest the body. yea, my muscles do feel strained and my hands roughened from constant abuse. and I'm now tanned a golden brown (even on my face though. which makes me look dirty and tired. ugh) and the tan-lines on my thighs are so distinct from all the days of training in my FBTs. (I need swimming training to start so I can get a more even tan!) but busy as I have been, it's been all fun. for real, I do like the trainings. like the working up a sweat, all the more because I feel like I'm improving, thanks to the practices of course. I mean, it always feels good when you can play. :P and then all the rest of the hall is always around for trainings too. we see all the familiar faces around, and the hall's bustling even more than during sem time. just today the rugby guys and netball girls were both having training in the comm hall because it was raining outside. so cool to see everyone around. when I do get to go home in between trainings after sunday's match, I'm sure I'd get a nagging from my mom, for getting so tanned. but I'm so glad this is what my holidays is going to be filled with. as much as I dread the competition day, having 2 trainings a day fills up my day just nicely. not to mention now I have no time to do either shopping online or IRL. saves my pocket from emptying out. :P 0 comments |
