12:36 PM looks like a mish-mash of alphabets thrown together in an incoherent phrase. for the inacquainted, it means 'I Love You' in Russian. just as unromantic as 'ich liebe dich' sounds in german, its the best I can illustrate how to pronounce the phrase so just take a shot at it. met up with FRIENDS last night, albeit missing cheng cos she left before I could get there. over mushroom stroganoff at The Soup Spoon and apple crumble with oatmeal cookie chunk icecream at BnJ's, we hung out again like old times, to make up for our not-very-complete 23rd in 2006. but then even as its with the same people I've known for the past 6 (coming to 7) years, its obvious that our lives have taken different paths since then. and that's when the few of us are all still in S'pore. and I think there's no hiding it, but I've never been as close to the one in UK as the rest of them have. I wouldn't give excuses about life being too busy to make time for staying in contact, because life really isn't that hectic. maybe we've just been kind of different. like I've just never been able to find the common ground to talk to her about. or maybe I've just never really made the effort to. perhaps I've never really understood her writing and never appreciated literature as much, so clicking on her blog doesn't happen as frequently as I do others. but then as I read her blog today, it didn't seem as foreign or as incomprehensible. and then cheng's going away for half a year in a few days. everyone's going places and changing as they grow whilst I'm still.. well here. I really need to grow up. guess I can't rush things though. I am going somewhere tmr though. physically. hope things stay peaceful in bangkok while we're there. oh shit. haven't bought my travel insurance. ok better settle it now. laters.. 0 comments |
