    Norway 101 3:05 AM

Class officially started today, with a Marketing Comms module and one other one on Scandinavian Work Life and Culture. That's 2 out of my 4 modules. And the other 2 are tomorrow. Which leaves me with 5 free days in a whole week. Tell me you're jealous. :P And I have an exam-free semester. Only a take-home exam with 72 hours to complete the paper and 3 term papers which can be done in groups. I love the Norwegian education system. lol

Ok but really, not all the modules are this slack. You can say the "slack-ness" in my classes is part intentional, part luck. There are a lot of other people who have 5 exams so I am probably an exception, along with many of the exchange students. :] Class was generally alright, mostly introduction to the course, and we got let off early from the Scandinavian Work Life module, which from the course name, already tells you how slack it is going to get. Basically what we did for the first class today was lay down the ground rules, go through the course outline and did a "Did you know about Norway" quiz, through which I found out -

    1) Norway is the 3rd largest exporter of oil in the world (betcha didn't know this)
    2) The UN rated Norway 1st in the list of best countries to live in for 5/6 years consecutively
    3) Public drinking is illegal, so is public smoking. Public drinking meaning probably buying a few dozen beers and loitering on the streets guzzling your beer. Also, you can only get alcohol with more than 4.5% alcohol content from a specific store called the Vinmonopol (like a monopoly), and not from the common convenience store.
    4) The city of Oslo is about 1000 years old! Singapore feels so incredibly young.. we're not even one-tenth the age of Oslo.
    5) And well, Oslo has its national day on May 17th.

Anyhow, it was a fun first class, part of the fun being that it was so slack. But I'm gonna stop here for now, because its about 9.15pm here in Oslo and I haven't had my dinner yet. We haven't even cooked! I am so freaking famished. Will be back to blog more when I'm recharged. Ciaos for now.

Welcome to the drunk mootoo tiger's blog. This is the blog of a nonsensical 22 year-old. All posts are true accounts of misadventures in my life.

    misadventurer
I'm a shopaholic, a chocoholic, an alcoholic, a clubbaholic, an eataholic, a music junkie, a traveler. I love crying in the movies, love cookies and popcorn, love lazing at home and love making people laugh. I'm addicted to Johnson's Baby lotion, to my mom's cooking and to sinful desserts. I cannot multi-task, I cannot drive, and I'm afraid of heights but I enjoy rollercoasters. I like to be around people with whom I don't have to care if they think I'm crazy drinking bak kut teh from a straw. I've never taken the reverse bungee, never been to the US, and never dyed my hair pink. And I want to go on an misadventure once in my life.
