    11:30 PM

spent a magical nite with manda n chris dear, watching the fireworks fill the night sky with bursts of light. we were among the crowds of people lining the bridge in front of fullerton hotel and causing a standstill to traffic. today was the first time i'd seen such severe traffic jams in singapore, well besides at the causeway. buses and cars were stopped smack in the middle of the cross-road junctions and people were jay-walking like all fines had been lifted. the human traffic overhead bridge from suntec city to city link had to be directed because there were so many people on it the possibility of the bridge collapsing seemed pretty real...=P throngs of people, parents with kids and grandparents, couples, groups of friends like us were sitting on the grassy lawn in front of the underpass to city link, awaiting the first spray of sparks to litter the cloudless sky. we weren't content with shoving around there so we headed nearer to the esplanade and finally decided to rest our feet around fullerton.

when the first streams of fireworks appeared, people oohed and aahed...and it got better.. green, red, yellow and blue bursts of light appeared, fairy dust, lavender petals...i especially loved those. against the clouds of smoke in the background, they looked incredibly magical and i felt like i was in some fairy tale, some movie. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, during the celebration of Bilbo's birthday, or in Shrek 2 during the wedding celebrations... i was taken away into another world for a while, my heart still thumping in tandem with the bangs of fireworks.

afterwards, we lingered on hoping for the crowd to disperse so that the trains wouldn't be so squishy. and as we walked along the bridge, i saw edmond, that baby-faced junior of mine n his friends, and jonny.. haha surprise surprise...guys in groups watching fireworks? i'd think they cldn't be bothered...hee..ahh well maybe i don't know em that well... anyways we stayed till ard 9.05 before deciding to head home. we were all so tired, what with the afternoon long mugging or attempted mugging..haha i guess i was especially tired because i was on a dry fast, my first time. felt kinda lethargic i must say...must be the lack of water... well we had to climb stairs, or we chose to, since the escalators were moving at a snail's pace. it was suffocating trapped underground in city link cos the aircon felt non-existent with all the human heaters just millimetres apart. anyway as we went through the underpass linking the esplanade to city link, that arena that's home to breakdancers, people were crowding around, hoping to get a glimpse of some action. we did too, but we only managed to see one or two moves before we decided to get out of the toaster...haha

as we sat on the train headed home, chris gave up her seat next to me to a lady with a baby. yea that samaritan-of-a-girl...haha so the lil baby was sittin next to me and it was so adorable! haha i was in love with babies today...wanted to play with every single cute one i saw...hee hee...oh well the one we saw on the train was chubby-cheeked and had lips like donald duck...simple adorable!! hee...and well i was high too...chris n manda can attest to that...haha i just needed to get home n rest la...oh well i'm home now.. a real pity though that i didn't have my cam with me today. wld have taken lots of pictures...such a pretty night...
oh well..can't wait to break my fast tmr with lemon juice n lotsa bananas. got 6 hours to go before then...i'm so excited! haha...
    good nite babies...sweet dreams!

Welcome to the drunk mootoo tiger's blog. This is the blog of a nonsensical 22 year-old. All posts are true accounts of misadventures in my life.

    misadventurer
I'm a shopaholic, a chocoholic, an alcoholic, a clubbaholic, an eataholic, a music junkie, a traveler. I love crying in the movies, love cookies and popcorn, love lazing at home and love making people laugh. I'm addicted to Johnson's Baby lotion, to my mom's cooking and to sinful desserts. I cannot multi-task, I cannot drive, and I'm afraid of heights but I enjoy rollercoasters. I like to be around people with whom I don't have to care if they think I'm crazy drinking bak kut teh from a straw. I've never taken the reverse bungee, never been to the US, and never dyed my hair pink. And I want to go on an misadventure once in my life.

    the grand plan
