10:04 PM i really ought to be using this time to do my work but anyhows, if you happen to read this, happy 18th birthday wong! hope u liked the presents...didn't really know what to get ya... oh well i had a dreadful econs test today(2 in fact, and one after another.) and as much as i regret it, circumstances just led to my ill-preparation for it. sometimes i can't fathom why no matter how much i seem to worry about getting dismal results(usually only at the last minute though..=P) , i just can't bring myself to stay put at my table long enough to input all that data into my brain.. gotta start loving to study now!! i hardly have any time left looking at the amount of work i need to put in to get the grades i know i dream of. life's been so much more relaxed since kayaking ended. at least compared to the week before the competition la..i now have much more free time to do work after school, to go straight home and attempt to start mugging right away only to be lured towards this friggin machine doing stuff i really shldn't be doing at this point of my jc life..(like now..) anyway, just some comments about the competition. well as most of u already know, wong n i didn't capsize although i was trembling throughout with nervousness, trying to coordinate my feet and my arms, with much difficulty i must add.. but we did as speculated, come in last in our heat. yea that sounds really pathetic but considering the little time we had practiced being balanced enough to kayak a decent distance, it was quite a commendable effort. and while i did have some regrets at not having given it my best in that i still felt like i had some energy to spare for a sprint, it was because in that 500m, our main goal was to not capsize and so i was more preoccupied with that. i just hadn't reached the stage where we could stay stable enough to focus solely on speed, especially when i also had to control the direction we were heading.. gosh i can't really multi-task..haha oh well all that is over now and its time to concentrate on my studies... i just got my results slip back today and honestly its really disappointing to see that when i previously scored As and Bs(with the exception of Fmaths of course...=P) when i first came into VJ, i'm not getting Ds and Es. its just testament to the amount of studying i've been doin all this while eh...and i don't deny it la...i deserved it... besides that of couse, will be meeting up the girls on friday after the nat' day celebrations and gary chan's tuition at 1 pm. now now i haven't been doing phys tuition hmwk like i should be and would like to but i am gonna do it this time. erm that's after i catch The Amazing Race like now...and CSI: Miami ltr...hee... nites gurrls! take care! 0 comments |
