10:46 PM alritey, so i was slacking the entire night, watching tv. and i decided to tune into THE FAMILY on channel i. just for ur info, its at 9 pm on thursdays. i'd say it's quite an interesting show, wat with the luxuries the people in the show get to enjoy, and hearing what the housekeepers like the butler, cook n stylist say about them.. guess i'm what mrs chng wld call...erm...*runs up to check gp notes* - thomping up stairs - oh yes, its a voyeur, pronounced "voi-yur", meaning : An obsessive observer of sordid or sensational subjects alright, i guess it is quite an exaggeration... i'm just an enjoyer of reality tv huh..like many others.. oh well, THE FAMILY is quite an entertaining show, altho it is still uncomparable to THE AMAZING RACE.. it is still ultimately the most exciting and engaging reality show ever.. can't wait for another season! okay, i'm digressing, so back to THE FAMILY. yup, one thing about it is that it's quite artificial. almost like everything seems staged, not to mention the manner in which the host speaks. totally reminds me of being in an all too serious meeting or something to that effect. and besides, it also brings to my mind "Days of Our Lives". but despite all the artificiality in it, i guess i wouldn't mind watching it, since i have got the time to spare. right after THE FAMILY ended on channel i, THE BACHELOR began on channel 5. reality tv seems to be hogging channels these days. it's such a hit with people.. hrmm...a voyeur exists in everyone huh.. well our dear pok can't seem to get enough of the show. though i find it quite a turn off watching the way the bachelor, wateva his name, treats all his potential girlfriends or wives or wateva he's gonna make them after this show ends. it seems he gets intimate with all of them, spending the night, sharing passionate kisses when like kristen says, (she's one of the 3 if you don't already know) 'how can he feel the same thing for 3 girls at the same time..' well maybe i shouldn't take this too seriously, since all of them could just be great actors n actresses staging a seemingly believable show about how jealous and insecure they are and how much they each love and swoon over him. anywayz, i simply couldn't bear watching him with all three of the remaining girls. and so i switched channels about 15 minutes into the show. perhaps you should try redeeming the show huh pok..haha.. tell me what captures you.. anyway i hope you weren't watching the show the night before ur chinese AO huh...haha speaking of Chinese AOs, here's wishing all of u guys all the best alrite.. haha actually u shudn't even be here if you've got CLAO tmr.. but anyway, just so that i won't have to cling to Brooke & Sam so much during Chinese lessons... go get all ur distinctions!! haha not that i don't like them or anything, just well it'll be fun to have more people ard..=) alrite. gonna talk about something i'm kinda irritated about. i do like my family. and my brother and my dad. but i simply can't stand the habit that they both share. there are other things they do that irk me sometimes. but this is really quite unbearable to me. i wish i could do something to help them kick the habit. but i just can't force them to. i can't explain it. i openly express my dislike of them doing in my presence. i blow the fan straight in their direction, screw up my nose, tell them it stinks and for them to please go elsewhere. when i was younger, i didn't oppose to this habit of my dad's. although i once put up a sign in the balcony that read " NO SMOKING" but that was all i did. spoke to my mom about it before. even she can't help it. it's been a habit for such a long time that having him to kick the habit wld mean causin significant disruptions to our lives. i try to bear with it, but it doesn't mean i approve of it. 1)it totally harms your health and the health of those ard, 2)it is an absolute waste of money and 3)it stinks to the core. now that my bro has picked up the same habit, it's hard to get him to quit, even though it will probably be easier than getting my dad off it. but then again, when there's someone older who's doing it, chances are that my bro can simply point to my dad and say, "why don't you ask him to quit first" i mean, its only natural to divert the attention to someone else to get off the hook. ugh..i've more or less given up trying. i may seem selfish, but it isn't that i don't care, it's just that if they want to shorten their lives through such an unworthy way, it is entirely their choice. i just hope i don't die from second-hand smoke. god bless me, my lil brother n my mom. 0 comments |
