Sideways
1:55 AM If anyone's thinkin of watching Sideways, please get that idea outta your head alright? even if you need to see if yourself to prove my point, do it on a weekday yea. okay maybe it isn't really THAT bad but it is definitely a very draggy movie, considering its more than 2 hrs long and doesn't have as complicated a storyline as Constantine that has to be developed. The whole plot's basically abt this middle-aged man who's pretty unaccomplished (he's divorced and can't get over it and his book got rejected by the only small publishing firm that was considering getting it printed.) who goes on a road trip with his friend who's about to be married the coming saturday. the entire trip was planned to be for visiting vineyards and winehouses for wine-tasting, just to loosen up before his friend gets tied down officially to one woman. his friend has other entertainment plans besides plain wine drinking though, that's to get the both of them laid. certain parts in between are LOL-funny but others are plain boring. you see them driving past vineyards and on highways, and having uninteresting conversations. its just too slow for my liking anyway. oh yes, just a little notice that the movie is M18 and contains a few explicit love-making scenes, and of course, who can forget that chubby man chasing naked after the car, full frontal. *blush* anyhow, noone doubted my eligibility to watch the movie! i mean.. i didn't have my ID checked at the ticket booth, nor at the entrance. do i have the "i just had my 19th birthday" look plastered across my face? i mean.. i didn't really dress that mature, maybe besides my blood-red toenails and high heels I think i looked pretty young. i don't like looking old.. :( maybe one day i should try buying tics for a R21 show and see if i get stopped. heh..
