life's cool!
10:59 PM now lets see what I've been up to the last week.. Monday was the day after Vesak Day, so no work! went shopping for presents and spent a bomb. (That's what happens when I bring my ATM card out. So its a good thing I don't own a Credit Card.) Went to the Japanese supermarket at the grd flr of Shaw Towers and shopped! Love lookin at all the yummy chocolates, biscuits and candy from Japan. mmm mmmmmm.. bought some of those back too. Then I met Chris for dinner at Serangoon Gdns again (our future to-be-regular-hangout) and we had yummy prata and teh tarik! I can't believe I only discovered the magic of prata and teh tarik so recently. Its the most down-to-earth, delicious, cheap tummy-filler on the face of this world, not to mention damn fattening, especially when you eat it for a late dinner. heee Just think, how many friends bond over a cuppa warm teh tarik (tarik means pull), gobbling down piece after piece of prata kosong with sugar and fish curry, sweating out at the kopitiam. and that was just what we did. Tuesday my left eye started turning pretty red from a mild infection from my contacts. Cldn't wear 'em for the next 3 days.. baah I looked like a middle-aged auntie trying to look funky with red plastic specs. Wednesday & Thursday were peaceful. Friday was yesterday. I met Aimee at Bugis after work to hang out a while, then we went to Grapevine again! yummy.. I had mussels with chili and lemongrass! *slurp! I don't eat mussels see, cause I think my first time was at Genghis Khan, where the mussels and clams and oysters were served raw? eeeeks.. so from then on, I don't eat the stuff! yea I know I've missed out on a lot! well its never too late to start huh? mussels are yummy! *drools dreamily.. I tried their ice-blended too.. and I can't wait to go back and try their main courses, which are cheap and look gooood! *hungry Saturday rocked! shopped with Jing and Manda like mad and it was one of my happiest shopping experiences ever! *beams* anyhows, I blasted $169.50 on a pair of Ladies' Cut Levis and another $66 on a faded three-quarter jeans which i absolutely adore. lastly, I got a tank from Topshop.. hee... if only my cam is still working.
