4:58 PM how I spent my christmas this year --- 23rd, the eve of the eve of xmas -- had fantabulous time with my darlings at Swissotel, just lazing and snapping photos and nibbling on yummy nougats brought fresh back from Aussie by jing dar. and a delish dinner at Harbourfront, Pastamania which still leaves me salivating at the thought of a creamy plate of linguine.. *wipes my drool off, before which, though, we had to endure more than an hour at Starbucks while Pep and Cheng popped off for crazy interviews about Philosopy (gawd, i hope whoever interviews me for impending job interviews never mention that word.. I'll freak out and scoot off ) our unexpected-neighbour-of-a-Swedish-Santa with his haunting santa mask who pops his head over to say "hello". (seriously imagine being in his place, greeting different neighbours over a month.. pretty interesting I must say, especially when babes like cheng and pep try to hold up a conversation with him over the balcony, and get quizzed on the capital of Sweden. haha) Then of course we have our night muchies while playing our game of fortune-telling (with me offering odd questions I can't quite remember anymore. lol) , during which i excitedly gave out those adorable lippies. I should have borrowed Swedish-Santa's santa suit now that i think of it.. haha and well.. who can forget the crazy ways we tried to entertain ourselves. the game of songs, and stories.. yes of course, xiao ming, xiao hua, xiao bai and xiao niao. gawd.. I was praying no one would come up for a spot check cos we made too much noise. fortunately not. =D It was great waking up to familiar faces and hearing voices we are so accustomed to.. sharing a warm bed (albeit with feet sticking akwardly out) we never made it to our planned monorail rides at Sentosa but we can do that soon! say.. new year's eve?? haha anybody's up for that? tag ok! 24th, the eve of xmas - brekkie for only $2 bucks! at Macs.. haha filled me sufficiently with a warm cuppa tea (yes 3 packets of sugar for me. haha) and a flattened sausage mcmuffin. went back to our room with Cheng to wait till checkout time.. and we sat out in the balcony chatting, then me reading my romance novel (having long awaited this moment. lol) I must confess, that I couldn't put the book down more than 30 minutes the rest of the day, and so I eventually finished it that night, having experienced numerous heart-aches and cried more oft than once. *i am ashamed of myself.. haha but I'm hungry for more! it is now my humble ambition to finish reading all of the author's books soon, to put myself thru more tears and heartaches.. and wishing at night, to dream a little dream. haha i sound like a lovesick schoolgirl. *blush.. yups I didn't have an xmas eve dinner, just a modest pizza delivery. but I'm still blissful. =) 25th, xmas day itself -- having finished the book, i must say i've been eager to read more. and since no bookstore was likely to be open in xmas day, i decided to dig into The Da Vinci Code, stolen from my brother's room. well it kinda snagged me.. tho not in the kinda way my romance novel did.. and so my entire day was spent buried in it. I fell asleep with my specs still on, the room still brightly lit, and the book just inches from my fingertips, left parted where i last read. 26th, Boxing Day -- resumed reading.. couldn't really put it down, see. haha and well I finally finished it ard 3pm this warm, kinda humid afternoon. since i couldn't get to another romance novel till probably in the evening, I picked up Totto-Chan. haha yes, my younger brother's literature text (odd choice i must say, for an all-boy's school. and I don't recall Totto-Chan being a lit text before. ) its a much easier read compared to Da Vinci Code though.. and much thinner too. haha alrights.. I'm still half-way thru it now. and me thinks i shall return to it. I just hope i don't grow too stubby from being constantly seated or more often, lying down. lol have a great festive season all! =D 0 comments |
ely belly Welcome to the drunk mootoo tiger's blog. This is the blog of a nonsensical 22 year-old. All posts are true accounts of misadventures in my life. misadventurer
I'm a shopaholic, a chocoholic, an alcoholic, a clubbaholic, an eataholic, a music junkie, a traveler.
I love crying in the movies, love cookies and popcorn, love lazing at home and love making people laugh.
I'm addicted to Johnson's Baby lotion, to my mom's cooking and to sinful desserts.
I cannot multi-task, I cannot drive, and I'm afraid of heights but I enjoy rollercoasters.
I like to be around people with whom I don't have to care if they think I'm crazy drinking bak kut teh from a straw.
I've never taken the reverse bungee, never been to the US, and never dyed my hair pink.
And I want to go on an misadventure once in my life.
